Foodie

We passed it who knows how many times and we have always seen it hyper crowded. It is located in the heart of China Town and bears the name of Foodie.

It is probably the most popular kiosk in via Paolo Sarpi where you can enjoy good Chinese street food with a strong Taiwanese imprint, particularly sweet: in fact, here the specialties are characterized by a sugary taste, sold at an almost negligible price.

The restaurant is very small, inside there are very few seats, outside there is a small dehors. But here you come to order and eat then strolling.

The menu features a long list of bubble teas, frappuccino and macchiato tea: take some time to read all the preparations because there are so many!

There are also sweet soups with taro and jellies, fresh yogurt and fruit slushes.

To eat, the menu offers egg waffles with different sweet fillings, savory pancakes prepared with an egg base, chives, coriander, dried meat, pickled carrots, fried bread and salad to which you can possibly add wurstel, bacon or chicken to a ridiculous price.

Followed by the Taiwanese hot dog (sweeter than our western one and served without bread and condiments) and, surprisingly, two typically Japanese preparations: takoyaki (the famous octopus meatballs typical of Osaka) and oden ( typical winter preparation in broth).
