Wong

In the heart of China Town, a Chinese-run restaurant has opened for just over a year offering the famous Korean barbecue: it is Wong, an informal and welcoming place to spend a different evening with friends. The very kind and helpful staff will help you with the preparation of the meat, if it is the first time for you. The customers here are exclusively Asian, you will hardly ever find a Westerner: this fact makes the experience even more authentic.

The menu is very simple: many meat proposals (including beef, pork, chicken and lamb) to be cooked alone on the hot-plate, or prepared in the kitchen with various condiments. I recommend marinated beef, perhaps accompanied by some vegetables and, above all, fresh lettuce leaves to make an excellent roll - do not skimp on the spicy sauce, it is the ideal seasoning.

There is no shortage of fish dishes, such as squid and prawns, as well as numerous soups, various proposals for bibimbap, sweet potato noodles, jeon and mandu.

Surprisingly, the menu also offers the hot pot, the Chinese fondue of Mongolian origin, prepared with different ingredients - based on meat, fish or soy.

Water everything with classic or fruit soju, the important thing is that it is very fresh, or with an excellent Korean beer.

I liked Wong a lot, both because it is a relaxed environment, and because it has a variety of tempting proposals at a fair price (for lunch, by the way, there are complete menus for only 10 euros). Recommended especially for groups of friends but I recommend you to book in advance.
